The Angela Stool stands out with two spectacular features. First, its mixed-media styling brings a wholly fresh trifecta of rich wood, firm, but smooth leather, and unexpected metallic accents. It exudes a luxurious lifestyle. Second, it has an ineffable way of fitting–with great comfort and surprising stability–to all different types, sizes, and angles of its occupant. Its arms were styled after the popular Duda; just enough to rest the elbow, but not too long, to enable the sitter to swing easily in and out of the seat.

Sossego was formed after a most unexpected and serendipitous meeting in Ann Arbor, Michigan of two native Brazilians: the award-winning furniture designer Aristeu Pires and Jonathan Durling. Although born in the USA, Jonathan has dual USA and Brazilian citizenship, and spent most of his childhood and teenage years in Brazil. The two connected with their mutual appreciation for modern design and Brazilian culture. Jonathan, an artist and businessman in his own right, was overwhelmed with Aristeu’s complete oeuvre. Sossego was formed after a most unexpected and serendipitous meeting in Ann Arbor, Michigan of two native Brazilians: the award-winning furniture designer Aristeu Pires and Jonathan Durling. Although born in the USA, Jonathan has dual USA and Brazilian citizenship, and spent most of his childhood and teenage years in Brazil. The two connected with their mutual appreciation for modern design and Brazilian culture. Jonathan, an artist and businessman in his own right, was overwhelmed with Aristeu’s complete oeuvre. About Eve Alfille Gallery & Studio  As an artist, she chose jewelry because it harkens back to humankind’s very beginnings: If you were a prehistoric person, walking on a beach or in the forest, and you suddenly found a small, mysterious, wonderful glowing thing, a pearl, a gem, what would you do?  Jewelry started this way, a need for something so magical, so transcendent that it made you forget the harshness of life, the difficulty of surviving to another spring.  Eve’s jewelry is crafted one at a time, here in our downtown Evanston studio, by talented goldsmiths and artisans. If the piece you want is a “special order” item, please allow us time to create it for you. Eve’s “Bacchanal” 18 karat white gold ring is a celebration of spinels; the center stone 12.38 carat cushion cut fine plum spinel, flanked by two cushion cut fine raspberry spinels totaling 3.50 carats, and finally four pomegranate-color fine spinels are situated below. Four yellow Montana sapphires, two in front and two in back, are on either side of the grape and grape leaf motif at the base of this majestic ring. 30 diamonds totaling 0.62 carats (E-F/VS) add a finishing touch to this dream-inspiring ring.  For information about our Holiday Must-Have items please call 773-761-6950.
